Why Couples Therapy?

Maintaining a healthy relationship takes work!  Many times, couples come to counseling due to disconnection, lack of understanding, criticism, invalidation, infidelity, parenting differences, cultural differences, loss of independence, codependency, or blended family challenges.  Through couples counseling, I will help you identify each of your needs within your relationship and how to start building skills to create the marriage that you desire. These skills will focus on:

  • Ways to like each other and create friendship
  • How to turn towards your partner’s bid for connection
  • The knowledge around how to solve solvable problems and when to accept perpetual problems
